I read this fantastic little book called Miracles, by Stuart Wilde. This book has been sitting on my shelf for years. I think I tried to read it at one point, but as with all of my books, they all are bought and on the shelf for "the right time." For some reason two days ago I grabbed it off the shelf and read it in a night (it’s only 56 pages long). It completely resonates with me and my life at this time! I wanted to highlight some key principles with you that Mr. Wilde shares in his book. I hope you find this useful in your life, as I found them to be great reminders in my own life.
There are 7 steps in this book in which make up the process of creating miracles in your life. I hope you find each of them to be useful in the progress of your manifesting.
In Step One he discusses how the Universe has no way of knowing what you want, nor does it discriminate between your hopes and aspirations, your likes and dislikes- it is pure energy. It accepts whatever thoughts, feelings, and actions you project and reflects them back to you in the form of the events that you experience day to day. I think that on a basic level, those of us who would like to believe in the Universal Law believe this. However, we tend to forget this as truth when those pesky negative thoughts start taking over.
Step Two is about Understanding Life’s Mission. He talks about how we choose our path in this life before we ever come into this body. The reason for this is to learn and expand for our infinite evolution. He says:
“Now you may say: “That’s nuts! Why would I choose these circumstances of my life- this family, this society, and this neighborhood? Why didn’t I choose a more affluent environment or a prettier body or more intellectual capacity?” The answer lies in a dimension beyond the physical plane. As you entered this dimension through birth, you had within your consciousness a heroic mission- a goal. The nature of that goal is firmly written in the very deepest recesses of the inner you; and what you are today, no matter what you feel about yourself, is actually a part of that goal in various stages of completion.”
He then goes on to say that your mind begins recording events, thoughts, and feelings only at birth. We don’t remember our heroic mission. Why you might wonder? If your mind, feelings, and emotions knew what your goal was here in this life, then there would be no challenge or quest. Your evolution would not grow in the way that it needs to grow. So, next time you are frustrated with your circumstances, remember that it is part of your evolution and growth as an infinite spiritual being.
Step 3 is Understanding The Nature of Beliefs. This might be my favorite analogy ever, I just love what he says here! He talks about how we put in our “order” to the Universe for what we want. Here is the best analogy I have heard in a long time:
“Imagine the Universal Law as a shipping clerk in a large mail-order company. He gets your order but has no idea who you are. If the order says “size 8",” he sends out size 8. It’s of no concern to him whether or not that size fits you. He merely complies with your request.
In daily life, your feelings, thoughts, and attitudes are your order form; so before you decide to change your present conditions, you’ll have to be very sure what you want from life. …You have to write clearly, and you have to be ready to accept whatever you’re looking for.”
It’s really important to take some time to meditate on what it is that you want. This will allow you the clarity needed to put in the order just as you really want it. Be ready for it however it comes, and know that even when it comes…you may realize that it might not be exactly what you thought you wanted. In my opinion, I think that some people just know what they want, and their order form is cut and dry. They are a size 8, and boom, so it is. I think for others of us (and I know this pertains to times in my life for sure), we put in an order for a size 14, when our true desire is a size 8! We have to be very clear, and there has to be no question as to what size will fit!
Step 4 is The Miracle “Action Plan”. He talks about the importance of writing your desires down on paper. This is a physical way of literally creating your “order form” to the Universe. You can put it in a special place, like a God Box, or carry it with you. You can read it as a reminder of what it is that you are receiving in the near future. It isn’t just good enough to write it down, but you must know that your order has been received by the Universe, and is being delivered. You must think about your miracle as if you already have the conditions you desire.
Step five is Understanding Energy. This section basically states that “the mind has no way of knowing how the Universal Law is going to deliver your miracle, so don’t waste your time trying to figure it out… just know.” I think this is one of the most important steps, and the hardest for most of us to grasp. We want to so badly control everything in our lives, and it is so hard sometimes to trust that it is being delivered, even when we can’t see a way for this to be so. Remember to give your energy purely, knowing that this is necessary in order for your desires to be delivered to you.
Step six is Understanding Time. In a nut shell, there is no time. It is possible to have exactly what you want in this exact moment. But, it takes all of those other steps in the action plan to all happen simultaneously for this to happen. We often have to go through the steps. This creates a sense of time elapsing between when we wish for it and when we receive it. Have patience, and keep moving towards your goal with positive thoughts…knowing that your thought forms will manifest!
And last but not least, step seven…Understanding Your Personal Power. Mr. Wilde discusses the importance of writing down at least 9 positive affirmations to review throughout the day, when you wake up, and before bed. He describes affirmations this way, “Your affirmations act like small twigs in a fire. As you arise, you begin to build energy in the day. Use your affirmations to keep that energy going.”
Our minds natural negative alignment tends to make us think that our miracles aren’t going to come true. In order to achieve success, you must work consistently on your self-talk, and do not accept any energy contrary to your goals. Positive affirmations will help to keep your energy aligned to your goals.
Like I said, this book is 56 pages. It is a quick read, and I highly recommend having a copy on your shelf, as a reminder of the simple steps necessary to achieving all that we wish to have in this life. I have already been practicing these steps over the past few months, and reading this book was very comforting in knowing that I am well on my way. I have truly created miracles in my life over the past several months, and I am continuously creating what I wish to come next! You can too!!!
Happy wishing! =)
